Matt Brown, known to fight fans as “The Immortal,” is a former UFC welterweight and one of the most respected veterans in mixed martial arts. Known for his relentless pressure, durability, and knockout power, Matt built a reputation as one of the toughest competitors in the sport.

Over the course of his UFC career, he earned multiple performance bonuses and became known for stepping into high-stakes fights against elite competition. His style was never about flash. It was about grit, fundamentals, conditioning, and the mindset to push forward no matter what.

Question 1: Do I need to come with a friend, or can I come alone?

Many guests come solo! You’ll quickly feel part of the group — our retreats are designed to create genuine connection. If you book a shared room, we’ll pair you with a roommate of the same gender. Whether you come alone, with a partner, or with a friend, you’ll feel welcome and supported from day one.

Question 2: What level of training do I need?

All levels are welcome!

Question 3: What’s your cancellation and refund policy?

All bookings are non-refundable, as we reserve rooms and services specifically for your spot. We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance with a Cancel for Any Reason policy to protect your investment if unexpected circumstances arise. You may transfer your spot to another guest if you can’t attend.

Question 4: What airport should I fly into, and what are the arrival/departure times?

You’ll want to fly into Liberia International Airport (LIR) in Costa Rica. Please plan to arrive between 11:00 AM and 3:00 PM on Saturday, January 24th, 2026 to take advantage of our included group shuttle to Casas Kismet. On departure day, we’ll organize one morning shuttle back to the airport. We’ll send detailed travel windows and customs information closer to the retreat.

Question 5: What if I have dietary restrictions or allergies?

Our in-house chef prepares meals with fresh, local ingredients and is happy to accommodate most dietary needs — including vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and dairy-free options. You’ll have the chance to share any allergies or preferences on your intake form after booking.

Question 6: Is it safe to travel to Nosara?

Yes. Nosara is one of Costa Rica’s most welcoming and safe coastal towns, popular with travelers, yogis, and surf enthusiasts from around the world. Casas Kismet is a private, gated retreat center with a peaceful community vibe. We also provide organized transportation so you can relax knowing everything is handled.

Question 7: What should I expect during my free time?

You’ll have plenty of downtime to relax, explore, and recharge. Guests often spend afternoons at the beach, lounging by the pool, getting a massage, or joining an excursion like surfing, horseback riding, or ATV tours. This retreat is designed to balance structure with freedom — so you can do as much or as little as you like.
