By registering for and participating in the Matt Brown MMA Retreat (“Retreat”), you agree to the following Terms & Conditions:
All payments made toward the Retreat are non-refundable and non-transferable, under any circumstances.
This includes, but is not limited to:
Cancellation by the participant for any reason
Missed flights or travel delays
Illness, injury, or personal emergencies
Failure to attend the Retreat in full or in part
No credits, transfers to future retreats, or exceptions will be granted.
All participants are strongly advised to purchase comprehensive travel insurance, including “Cancel For Any Reason” (CFAR) coverage.
Travel insurance should cover:
Trip cancellation or interruption
Medical expenses and injuries
Emergency evacuation
Lost or delayed baggage
By registering, you acknowledge that you are responsible for protecting your investment.
Participation in MMA training and related activities involves inherent risks.
By attending the Retreat, you acknowledge and agree that:
Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) is a combat sport that includes physical contact, sparring, and conditioning
There is a risk of injury, including but not limited to sprains, fractures, concussions, or more serious harm
You voluntarily assume full responsibility for any risks, injuries, or damages that may occur
You confirm that you are physically and mentally capable of participating and have no conditions that would make participation unsafe.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to release and hold harmless:
Retreat organizers
Instructors (including Matt Brown)
Casas Kismet and its owners, staff, and affiliates
from any and all liability, claims, demands, or causes of action arising out of or related to your participation in the Retreat.
The Retreat schedule is subject to change based on weather, instructor availability, group needs, or other unforeseen circumstances.
No refunds or credits will be given for:
Missed classes, training sessions, meals, or activities
Late arrival or early departure
Voluntary non-participation
Participants are responsible for:
Booking flights and arriving within the designated shuttle window
Ensuring valid passports and any required travel documentation
Complying with Costa Rica entry requirements
The Retreat is not responsible for any costs incurred due to travel disruptions.
Participants are responsible for their own health and well-being during the Retreat.
You agree to:
Disclose any injuries or medical conditions that may affect participation
Follow all safety instructions provided by instructors
Seek medical attention if needed at your own expense
The Retreat does not provide medical insurance or on-site medical care.
All participants are expected to act respectfully toward:
Instructors
Staff
Other guests
The property and surrounding environment
Disruptive, unsafe, or inappropriate behavior may result in removal from the Retreat without refund.
Participants are expected to act responsibly with alcohol consumption.
The use of illegal drugs or participation in training under the influence is strictly prohibited and may result in immediate removal without refund.
Participants are responsible for their personal belongings at all times.
The Retreat is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged items.
By attending, you grant permission for photos and videos taken during the Retreat to be used for marketing and promotional purposes, unless you explicitly opt out in writing prior to the event.
The Retreat shall not be held liable for cancellation, delays, or changes caused by events beyond its control, including but not limited to:
Natural disasters
Pandemics
Government restrictions
Travel disruptions
No refunds will be issued in these circumstances.
